I was recently asked by fellow chipper Tettix to remix a tune for his upcoming remix album. I chose to revisit a track that revolves around one of the most popular moves in one of the most popular fighting games of all time. Street Fighter 2. The album is free. Where “Level” and “NEUTRALITE” march full steam ahead in chiptune bombacity, “Midnight Orphans” floats between calm and chaotic, expected and unexpected. This is a collection of loose ends written over the last few years. The album material is as early as “Until the Sun Rises” and “Quartz” from 2006, and as recent as “Time Removed”, written in 2010.
Hey guys! so what I did for Atebite a few days ago (making it fully streamable, available in lossless, and reducing the price) I’m also doing for Level! I’m excited to have the album available in Lossless, as lots of people request this and if you’re not into purchasing CDs it’s a great alternative. Also you guys can now listen to the entire album before buying … I realize I’m a little late to the bandwagon with this but I think it’s important and in the future you’ll be able to hear everything I do in full without having to drop any greens.

My 2006 release Atebite and the Warring Nations is now available for $5 through Bandcamp in a plethora of formats, including for the first time lossless (Apple Lossless or FLAC). If you haven’t yet, now’s a good chance as ever to pick it up and check it out! You can also stream the whole album before you buy it. Hell, you can even stream it right here!
I’ve posted two new tracks over at Chipmusic.org, written for an upcoming independent game by Kenneth Fejer. Both are a tribute to the aesthetic quality of NES music.
